The Lenox Hill Neighborhood House hosted their annual Spring celebration to preview the Spring International Art and Antique Show entitled "The Time Machine." The event was held at The Seventh Regiment Armory on Park Avenue in Manhattan. The event took place to raise funds for the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, which was founded in 1894. It provides assistance to those in need while living, working, and attending school on Manhattan's East Side. It is also available to improve the quality of life for all those in the community. The House raised $800.000.The objective of the Neighborhood House is to help people gain the necessary skills to improve their lives and their communities as well. This organization helps 20,000 people in need each year, and is the oldest and largest social services and educational organization on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.The event was sponsored by Rolex Watch U.S.A. and kicked off this special evening with cocktails and the preview of the show for 800 guests. The Spring International Art and Antique Show exhibited over 50 dealers from around the world. They presented European, American and Asian furniture, oriental rugs, tapestries, rare books and autographs, antique boxes, clocks, silver, antique jewelry and more.Later than evening, guests were able to attend a dinner where 34 tables were designed with unique decorations created by top interior designers. Each table reflected a different theme that exemplified "time" in some sense. The Table Designers included: Harry Heissmann of Albert Hadley Inc., Harriette Rose Katz, DeJuan Stroud, Alison Minton, Nina Griscom, James Pine, Andrea, Ashley & Laurie Stark, Robert Rufino, Jonathan Preece, Jamie Drake, Joel Allen, Christopher Spitzmiller, Gay Hackett, Geoffrey Bradfield and Roric Tobin, Matthew Patrick Smyth, S. Russell Groves, Campion Platt, Andy Clark and Christine Cain, Noel Jeffrey, Joan McGivern, Frank de Biasi, Robin Baron, Rod Winterrowd, Sherrill Canet, Belle Fleur, S. Russell Groves, Labertson Truex, Joan McGivern, Quaddrille Fabrics, Amanda Nisbet, Dennis Rolland and Chestnuts in the Tuileries.The honorary chair of this event was Sydney R. Shuman. The benefit co-chairs were Audrey Gruss and Diana R. Quasha. The dinner co-chairs were Sara and Charles Ayres, Caroline and Tome Dean, Ingrid and J. Edelman and Cynthia and Dan Lufkin. Bunny Williams and John Rosselli were the honorary design chairs.
